Girlie Stuff

Leah invited a couple friends over last night and I got the bright idea that we should try this nail painting technique I saw on the internet. Just as Jared should learn to never trust me with driving directions, I should learn to never trust myself when it comes to following so-called simple instructions for anything crafty.
We taped up their nails just like the instructions said to do.

I surprised even myself by finding the patience to paint their nails in a very particular way and then they swirled their fingers in some liquid substance that was supposed to marbelize the polish.

We skipped an important step somewhere along the line and they didn't turn out the way they were supposed to, but they still turned out kind of cool. Look how cute. The nails aren't bad either.

Even though I'm not always a master, sometimes I can turn on crafty mom for an awesome kid and her friends. It might make me a little bit crazier than I normally am, but I suppose sanity can be overrated.
