Meet Buddy

Today we added a new member to our family. A boy this time. His name is Buddy. He's two years old. He became official at approximately 5:25pm this evening. Between 5:25pm and 8:30pm bedtime tonight, we've been busy.

We chauffeured Buddy to his new home - the minivan is almost at full capacity now.

We took him on his first walk through his new neighborhood so he could poop on the next-door neighbor's driveway.

Jared used a temporary makeshift pooper scooper to clean up the neighbor's driveway and Leah was all about getting the heck out of dodge.

While Buddy was busy accidentally tackling Meg (and giving her a nice shiner) when jumping for a ball at the park, I was busy gathering doggie necessities at the store.

We gave Buddy his first bath in his new home.

For those of you who know me and are aware of my fear/slight aversion to animals, why? you ask???

Just take a look at this...

Need I say more?

Congrats on the new addition!. I can't wait to have a dog. Buddy is so handsome and cute. I bet the girls love him. He will keep you safe from your neighbors whenever he poops in their driveway again haha.

Oh woman, ...you are brave. BRAVE, I say. You are my hero, and coming from a fellow animal "fearer", you make me believe that someday I can do it too. But, not now, ...I said someday, ....like when I stop having babies and changing diapers. Maybe. But, I am sure my kids faces will look just about that happy!

Oh MAN. What are you doing to me?! Oh, this is something we talk about a lot, but . . . the poop (something so wrong about a human following an animal BY CHOICE and picking up poop), the bathing, the walking . . . but you make it look so easy. You just won a major MOM award, one I'm not sure I'm brave enough to win, but maybe you've given me hope?
