In Our House

...life carries on at full speed.

The biggest event of my week was Monday's colonoscopy. After all the dreaded anticipation, I'm glad to finally have that one over with. Even though it's hard to do, I slightly embarrassed Jared when the "good stuff" started to wear off and I was "waking up" after the glorious procedure. It tickled my funny bone in a big way that I had asked the nurse to hold my hand when my hands started to go numb. Let's just say that I wasn't chuckling softly to myself, and it wasn't for a short period of time either.

It was nice to get the un-pleasantries out of the way early in the week. The remainder of the week was filled with plenty of good stuff.

To Jared's continued amusement, I canned some more peaches this week. I'm glad I can give him a good laugh and all, but I just wish it were when I was actually trying to be funny. Anyway, these things were beauties.

We celebrated my dad's 71st birthday. What a guy!

The girls each got a special afternoon with granny making cookies (sorry Leah...I forgot to take a picture for you!). Brita's choice was peanut butter kiss cookies and Leah's choice was snickerdoodles.

Leah decided to add Meg to the stuffed animal collection.

Jared's brother Chad brought his son Cade up from Kanab for the BYU game. They were lucky enough to have dad/grandpa join them, but not lucky enough to have a good game to watch.

The girls have been loving their new homework spot. Jared and I love it too.

Now it's onto another week of memories to create!

I can't stop giggling over your colonoscopy experience. Thinking about you laughing like that just about kills me. Michael had some SERIOUS forgetfulness with his anesthetic. He would ask me the SAME question, seriously right after I finished answering it. Then I would giggle about it and he would get annoyed.

Other than the colonoscopy, sounds like a great week!

I've heard that Versed stuff is killer (from my mom, who also just had a colonoscopy). Makes me want one! just kidding.

Love, love, and love your black cabinetry. That will be the best homework station(s) EVER. I love how you already have your Halloween stuff out, too! lucky.

I was hoping you would share a picture of you built-ins! I love homes! I love looking at homes and yours is a beautiful one to look at!

VERY nice job on the built in office area. Having seen the before and what you've done with it, I'm WAY impressed with your and Jared's vision!

Love those dark cabinets. You have excellent taste! I wanna see more pictures of your house!

As for the anesthesia thing, it always makes me cranky when I'm waking up. "All you people just stop talking and turn that beeping off so I can sleep!"
