We've had a couple of bouts with pink-eye last week. We're just glad nobody has the swine flu yet. One of my colleagues at work had his 7 year-old hospitalized for a couple of days.
Brita is in a community theater group that is putting on a show this year called "The Wonderfully Wicked Wizard of Oz". They gave her some music to learn and that's all they listen to now. Even Meg runs in there and points to the CD player when she wants to dance.
Rachelle continues to try to train Buddy to poop in our yard. I'm fine with him pooping wherever he wants and us cleaning it up but Rachelle insists that it isn't good enough. The problem is the only time he feels the urge is when he's running or playing fetch. Every time Rachelle takes him out for the sole purpose of potty, they end up just standing in the cold for10 minutes until she gives up and comes in. I don't want to undermine her efforts, but I'm a little skeptical that it's going to work. Is it OK for a dog to poop on your yard if the owner cleans it up promptly?

NO! I'm siding with Rachelle here. It is only okay for your dog to poop in your own yard. But, when doggie does his business without permission, thank you for cleaning it up.
I'll get down off my pet peeve soap box now. Pardon the pun.
sorry Jared. residue, man. I just finished cleaning up some cat poop residue off my feet this morning when I was outside IN MY BACKYARD with the girls. bitterness ensued. We don't have cats.
the saying "not in my backyard" would apply here.
I don't have an animal that I have to control where it relieves itself just yet. I say I don't mind it taking care of business in my "yard" (AZ yards are interesting). I have no pet, but several drop offs lie in my drive way. I tried to miss it...apparently not and it stuck to my tire, which was a pleasant smell to add to my garage.
You really didn't need the entire story. I guess I feel better now, seeing as I don't know where they are coming from. I just know it isn't a bird and we don't live in the wild.
As long as it gets cleaned up and I don't have to see it...that works for me!
