I love that Leah is so enthusiastic about trying new things and she isn't intimated by something new at all. She doesn't even care if she's older and less experienced that everyone else there, she just works hard and gets better. She was awesome at this year's camp and she improved a ton in just one week, but the best part is that she had fun doing it and I can see her confidence growing.
It was great to be able to take granny and grandpa with us too. They are my kids number one cheerleaders for whatever they are doing. Because we were right there at BYU, we ran across the sidewalk to the Richards Building where my mom worked for forever. We showed the kids where mom's office was and it was fun for mom and me to relive some of our moments at BYU together, like how I used to stop in during my class breaks and we would chat, eat snacks, and walk over the the track to buy breakfast or lunch or just a doughnut at the grill there. I loved having my mom so close to me while I was going to school.
We walked around a bit enjoying the beautiful day and letting Meg take a few minutes to play on the bike racks as usual.
Then granny and grandpa treated us to Brick Oven pizza for lunch to celebrate Leah's amazing performance. It was a great way to spend a summer day.
