Playing Games

Jared loves to play games. To his and the girl's disappointment, I am not as much of a game lover. That doesn't mean I haven't played tons of games over the years with Jared's family, with my family, with our friends, and with our girls. I typically have a good time engaging in a good game or two, but it's just not usually my first choice.

Jared really likes that the girls are getting old enough to learn and enjoy playing games he genuinely enjoys playing as well. Today they are playing Settlers of Catan, one of our current favorites. Jared will probably win because he has a strict policy to play his best no matter who he's playing against. I've never known Jared to throw a game for anyone. So the girls are learning about winning and losing and having fun no matter the score. I also think their competitive juices are getting stirred up. All good things to learn while their great dad gives them a great part of himself at the game table today.
