Grandma's Birthday

Today Jared and I took the kids to visit his grandma Norma for her birthday. We invited Jared's siblings to go with us to celebrate and we were thrilled that a bunch of them joined in.

Grandma dressed up so nice and she looked so pretty. She's always got a smile and a hug for us. The influence of grandparents in our lives is priceless and I'm so glad our girls get to know her a little bit.

We ate birthday cake and she opened gifts and we had a really nice visit. The cousins chased each other through the neighboring rooms and at that point we were getting close to wearing out our welcome.

The kids were so cute all gathered around grandma for a picture and I love the happiness all over grandma's expression. Family and people bring joy to our lives like nothing else can. No matter how cliche it sounds, it's so true that we are rich when we have love in our lives.
