Take Backs

We just received our Halloween pictures from my friend, and I formed and confirmed some strong opinions as I clicked through them.

I said Brita was the cutest little tiger I'd ever seen and after seeing the photo I believe it even more:

I said Leah's "half witch, half pirate, half fairy" costume was the perfect match for her personality and after seeing the photo I stand by that assessment:

I said Meg was the cutest little ladybug and I was most definitely right:

I made some comments in a previous blog post defending the pirate pants I hastily made for Jared. I'd like to call "take backs". Jared, you were right. The Peter Pan pants, among other costume accessories, were lame. Ha ha ha ha! This is the silliest costume I've ever seen:

And he did it all for me. Just 'cause I asked him to. What a guy.

Did I really look that retarded? I can't believe you let me go out like that. The only good thing about this costume is the sandals, and those were MY idea.

The pants may be a little lame but the dreads ROCK! You're a good sport, Jared. The kids did look completely adorable. What about you, Rachelle. Not going to admit that you look great, huh? Maybe next year.

Your expression of concern over your appearance is new to me. Since when have you cared about what you wear?

I just LOVE how Jared and Rachelle communicate via their own blog posts like this!

Claudia - I'm laughing at your comment, "He looks fine..." Did you enlarge the picture to get a closer view?

Kristen - Yeah, maybe next year. I quite like the dreads myself. I'm thinking a new look for Jared might be kind of fun.

Stacy - Electronic communication seems to really work for us. When we're at home and Jared expects some kind of response from me, I just tell him to check the blog tomorrow.

Jared - Since we're so good a blog communication I just wanted to say hi to my favorite guy. Hi. I'll see you in the family room in a couple minutes.

Oh my gosh Jared, I love those pants!!

The girls look so cute. We sure miss you guys. Have a great thanksgiving.

Any turkey or pilgrim costumes to look forward to?

Love ya, Carrie

Jared, this costume is no worse than your long black socks with the white-running-shoes-with-shorts-out-for-a-quick-jog-look. And Rachelle, you should be commended for fashioning ANY costume at all for your husband, as I, conversely, did no such thing this year (or ever?). Brita WAS indeed the cutest tiger ever. I hereby second that motion.

Carrie - You know we wouldn't dream of sitting around our Thanksgiving table without the proper Pilgrim attire. Just wouldn't be the same.

We miss you guys too. Pretty soon you're going to be completely tired of us though.

Karen - I know you've always been a fan of Jared's jogging attire. Funny that he notices when a costume is outrageous, but doesn't seem to care about his everyday impressions!

Each picture was priceless! Brita looks so grown up in that Tiger costume. I couldn't picture Leah's costume until the post. Darling. I'll never look at a ladybug the same way again!

Jared- well, my overall favorite outfit is still the one of you mowing your lawn....
