Summer in Pictures

There's no better way to remember what we've been up to than through pictures, so here's what we've been up to the past few weeks as we wrap up summer...

Leah has been fitting in as much baking as possible. Have I mentioned before that she always cleans up after she bakes? ALWAYS. And look and that smile on her face. That girl loves the kitchen.

Here she's holding the recipe for the chocolate cake she made. It's granny's recipe and it's everyone's favorite cake ever. This kid prefers to make her stuff from scratch whenever possible.

Did a little back to school shopping...

Soaked up some sun in the backyard...

Washed the car with grandpa (anything for an excuse to wear that swimming suit one last time)...

The girls all gave their best effort to try to eat up the last of the popsicles and creamies...

And finally, new hair cuts for the beginning of a new year...

Our hearts and our minds might not be ready to say goodbye to summer, but I think we've done a pretty good job exhausting our summer to-do list and come to think of it, I am pretty tired. Maybe a change will be good for all of us. Farewell summer. You were good to us this year.
