Party week

We really are leaving Texas, but not before a solid week of partying. I had a farewell party at work on Friday with barbecue, good luck cards and gifts. Too bad I still have to come to work for one more week. The girls are enjoying beach parties, field days and other parties at school. Tonight will be an open house. Then Tuesday I get to go fishing one last time on Tim New's boat, Wednesday is dinner at Bishop Prescott's and Thursday I go shooting one last time with Vic (the "gun guy" at work). We'll be about partied out.

I sent my truck to Utah Saturday so we are now officially a one car family, living in a van down by the river. It's not that bad really. We have great friends who are hosting us for a few days at a time. It was good to stay with the Jaffers a and get the japanese takeout again. We enjoyed staying at the News' beautiful house out in the country for a couple of days and we're looking forward to spending some time with Heidenreichs in their new house out by the lake this week.

Prescotts, News, Jaffers, we still miss Texas! We feel your pain. I blubbered like a baby when we drove that Penske truck away from Kingsbury Drive for the last time. Marc shed a tear not because we were leaving but because he backed aforementioned Penske truck into our house and did a good $10,000 worth of damage to the brick and roof the day we moved. Ah, Texas. Keep us posted from Utah! Miss you guys.
