Garden Goodness

Guess what garden goodies we've been enjoying lately...

Our "gardener" has to pick them green so the critters don't get them first. We like the way they look on our counter in different stages of ripeness.

By the way, I'm in love with the gardener and I'm getting used to his new contacts. I'm quite fond of his helpers, too.

Actually it's not so much the critters as the (relative) cold. The neighbor's rats were the reason I picked them green in the summer. With our long growing season we got a late crop that won't ripen unless we bring them in where it's warm. That's why we have them in various stages of ripeness.

Thanks for the clarification Jared. I didn't realize that's why we had so many green tomatoes in the house. It just goes to show how much I know about gardening.

I'm jealous! I miss our garden tomatoes, it's been a while, I think we got rid of them at Halloween (and even at that we were covering and uncovering them to get a few more days out of them).

I don't know what I like more, the posts or the comment conversations between you two. I think it's the latter. :P
