We're All Fans

Jared and I are dead set on doing our part to create a household of BYU fans. As part of our technique, we're exposing the girls to anything and everything BYU possible. As a result, the girls are really getting into BYU basketball this season. They've had fun watching some of the games in our basement on our new TV and they've loved going to a few games at the Marriott Center. At the games they particularly enjoy watching the cheerleaders do back flips after free throws, reading signs the fans bring to the games, and choosing yummy treats at half time.

Even though Brita and Leah have been the main focus of our brainwashing, somehow the beloved Jimmer has found his way into the hearts of each member of our household. Yesterday when Meg was perusing the newspaper in the company of my mom, she was distraught when she opened up the sports section and saw something she did not expect to see. "Oh no! That's not Jimmer because that guy has a four and a two on his shirt." I asked her what number she wanted to see and she replied that "Jimmer has a three and a two on his shirt." All I had to do was turn the page, and even though the number on his shirt was covered in an action shot, I asked her if she could see Jimmer anywhere on that page. Naturally, she pointed right to him.

Ooooh yeah. We're fans all right.

I completely believe in brainwashing. Especially when it comes to education. Go MEG! Can't wait to see your track shirt with the numbers 3 and 2 on them!

PS-I haven't seen the hangout basement room yet! Can't wait for some sports and/or movies there! :)
Miss you all-
JODY
