Quick Wyoming Weekend

We try to do weekly updates on this blog for our family history and all...somehow I'm always about a week behind and Jared has been asking me daily if I'm going to take my turn and update. Tonight he patiently mentioned that this week is going to be over if I don't hurry up and write about last week, and then last week will be gone forever. I certainly don't want to be responsible for losing a week of our lives. I just have a hard time getting motivated to write sometimes. But for the sake of not forgetting last week...

The big highlight of last week was our quick trip to Wyoming. Devin (Jared's brother) and Aften's new little baby was blessed on Sunday, and since we're close now, we were grateful we could go. Their baby is such a cutie and it was fun to meet Zoe as well. Zoe is just six weeks younger than Meg and Meg kept calling her a baby as she reached out to pet her. It was fun to watch the two of them together.

Saturday morning we went for a fun hike. Our girls love to hike and we usually just pack Meg in our hiking backpack. Unfortunately we forgot it this trip, but it turns out that Meg loves to hike just as much as everyone else in the family.

She did great and only had to be carried for short stints. We're so glad she fits into the family!

The hike was BEAUTIFUL. The kids couldn't have had a better time. Hiking and cousins...two of their favorite things.

Devin and Aften live in a beautiful area and my breath was taken away a few times. It was great to finally see where they live and spend some time with their family. We were a big group to host which resulted in some occasional craziness, but sometimes those are the things that make experiences unforgettable! We had a great weekend and the kids are already ready for another adventure. Oh, the summertime pressure.

I wish we had done more hiking with you. One of our favorite Texas memories was our fun hike with you over Memorial Day weekend... when we were still so new we were living in a hotel! Looks fun to be with so much family.
