Here are some pictures of our hikes and camp life that didn't fit into my last post.
We're all ready for the hike down!
Chad wanted to hit the trail early, so we left Las Vegas at 5:30am
and made it to the trailhead around 9:30.
We had lots of gear. It took a while for us to get everything in order.
Eric couldn't say enough about Gold Bond powder and he was very generous to share it with anyone in need. Some were saved by Gold Bond, others were a little more discreet regarding their use of it.
Jared was super excited about his solar panel that he used to charge our phones with.
Our hammocks were so nice to have. It felt so good to have a place to put up our feet and really relax. Jared made a comment about them and I said, "That's what you get when you buy cheap hammocks." He said, "They were twenty dollars! Is that not an expensive hammock?"
Eric and Kathleen put together some really good backpacker meals.
Eric can't wait until we go backpacking again so he can teach us a thing or two
about how to eat well while roughing it.
Jared wanted to make sure he was good and ready for nightfall.
Katie's "Hitler" moustache
I was so proud of these toothbrushes that you can use without water.
Jared didn't like them, but I bet it felt good to have clean teeth anyway.
Jared was so happy to have access to his phone so he could read.
We were all getting sunburned on the tops of our heads,
so we put the sunscreen to some good use.
We got shots with all the guys and all the girls at Havasupai Falls.
Such a great group of people and such an amazing trip!
