We finally put the finishing touches on the bedroom we finished downstairs. With drapes and shades completed, yesterday was moving day. It's so nice to have the queen sized bed and stacks of stuff out of the family room. Brita is thrilled with her room. It's also the guest room, so Brita is aware that when we have guests she'll be bunking with Leah. Anyone feel free to come visit, we have a place for you.
Leah has her own room now too. She said there are good things and bad things about that. One of the bad things is now she can't tell Brita jokes when they go to bed. I'm pretty sure Brita considers that one of the good things. Leah's room looks huge with only 1 twin bed in it. Meg has the other room, and she doesn't look big enough for that tall bed.
I took Brita and Leah skiing Saturday event though I have a nasty head cold and it was snowing. It turned out to be a good decision. With so much fresh powder up there the slopes were slow, and the kids couldn't get out of control if they wanted to. All of my painful effort and patience, and their whining and crying over the past year and a half finally paid off as they eagerly asked if we could go again at the end of each run. They even followed me on some paths between trees and over little jumps. Brita was so proud that she "caught air". It was more like Napoleon Dynamite's bike jump air, but whatever. We finished the afternoon with hot cocoa and chocolate pretzels from the grocery store on the way home.

We need to go with you! Dave and I have been having a blast this season. We want to include the kids next year. Tips?
Great bedroom! Brita is a doll.
Don't pay the money to take them on a lift for the first two years. Last year we went a few times on the tow rope at Sundance and it was plenty challenging. This year we've been doing ski free after 3 on the beginner lift at Alta. After 3-4 runs they are tired anyway.
Your kids could be faster learners and more aggressive than mine. If so then move the timetable up to challenge them. But for my kids it was tough teaching them.
Thanks for the advice, Jared. Did you buy the kids skiis or do you rent?
