A Plan is a Beautiful Thing

We've at least got ourselves a plan! We were able to rebook our flights for Saturday. We're keeping our fingers crossed and continue sending up our prayers in hopes that this one works out. I feel much better now that we have a plan and aren't waiting in limbo anymore.

Today we're off to do a little more sight seeing. The girls are so done with that. We tried it yesterday too, and they only wanted to play on the playground and sit in the car (with my sister-in-law) and read their books while Jared, my mom and I walked through the palace gardens. It was the most relaxing stroll we've had yet, if you disregard the fact that we had to muscle and push our way through a bottleneck of Belgium's entire wheelchair population. They were lined up in a narrow corridor of the greenhouse at the stairs. Ramps had been placed over the stairs and soldiers were transporting the wheelchairs up and down the ramps. Jared wonders if that's what the soldiers had in mind when they signed up to be all that they could be. Anyway, in those backed-up corridors, the body odor way overpowered the scent of the thousands of flowers...made it kind of difficult to enjoy that portion of the tour. Today we're sticking with some outdoor sights.

Say your prayers for us. We miss our baby girl.

Plans to get home are good--hope it comes to fruition!

And you had me really freaked out about your doing homeschooling (not that there's anything wrong with that), it's just that I assumed that your kids were going to a good conservative (I think?) school and seeming to acclimate socially, etc. Whew. I thought I might have to stage an intervention or something.

Now get home. The wheelchair fiasco gave me a laugh. You do un-glamorize Europe with this last post.

Yeah, I remember sitting directly under the Swiss B.O. on buses and street cars. Unforgettable!

Can't believe you have been gone this long from Meg! I know you are dying! I'll keep you guys in my prayers. I love a plan......and a man with a plan!

Whoa...I didn't know you had your kids with you! I thought you only mentioned Meg w/ family members because she was the youngest! You are a trooper! I guess you'll be seeing the parts of Belgium that no tourist ever gets to see, right? Plans are good, Saturday is enough time to get all the kinks worked out and you guys home. Hang in there!
